Evie is a young actress living in L.A. and has a legacy to live up to. Her parents are famous documentary film makers and her grandmother, Gigi, is a legendary actress. She has dreamed of following in Gigi's footsteps her whole life. Evie is about to launch into superstardom in a thriller movie with a famous director, when her best friend Simone betrays her by posting an embarrassing drunken video of Evie on social media. Evie's trust is shattered and she loses the movie role. She has a chance to star in the remake of her grandmother's most famous movie. All she needs is Gigi's blessing. She visits Gigi in New York and meets Gigi's friend Milo an aspiring teenage musician. Gigi subsequently vanishes and Evie and Milo search NYC for Gigi. At the beginning of the book, Evie's behavior is selfish. She is thinking only of what her grandmother can do for her career. She does not start off on the right foot with Milo. She grows a lot during the story and comes to realize that people are complex and that self worth should not be based on what others think of you. Now That I've Found You is a fun, fast-paced coming of age story.

This was a truly enjoyable, light, contemporary, romantic comedy. While the plot was a bit predictable the writing was exquisite and the story was enjoyable. This was the perfect light story to provide a distraction from all that’s going on in the world. Aspiring actress, Evie Marie, feels like her life is just getting starting as she’s been cast in her second big role. She has huge shoes to fill because her grandmother is a famous actress and she’s always wanted to be just like her. On the morning after her first big interview and small celebration with a friend everything comes crashing down and she finds herself blacklisted. Desperate to restart her career she hatches a plan that revolves around getting her reclusive grandmother to make an appearance to accept an award for her, but when she gets to New York her grandmother disappears and she’s left with the musician who helps her grandmother out and has been staying with her. I’ll definitely be adding Kristina Forest to must read author list!

This book is one that I would definitely read. I like the internal monologue, as well as all the descriptions for the readers' benefit in the parenthesis. I also like how in the first chapter everything is going perfect for our main character, and how it ends with the news article. This book reads like the inner mind of a teenager, which means the author did a great job of capturing the right voice. I'm a huge fan of the cover, the drawing of the two main characters sitting on the subway with the city in the background is a great cover. This kind of simple but still semi-detailed is one of my favorite types of covers. However, I do think the blurb at the beginning could be a little different because based on the cover, I don't think I would buy this book. The content was great though!

I really really enjoyed this book! Such a cute YA rom com, and really easy to read. The characters were relatable and realistic which I loved. Overall it was a it was a fun and light novel. And not to mention the cover is just amazing! 4 starts for me! Can’t wait to read Kristina Forests next novel!
