About the Author
EINAR STEEN-NØKLEBERG, Professor of Piano at the Norwegian State Academy of Music in Oslo, has won several prestigious prizes for his performance of Grieg's music. He is editor of the new Henle edition of the complete piano works and has recorded them all on the Naxos label. WILLIAM H. HALVERSON is editor of Edvard Grieg Today and translator of Edvard Grieg: The Man and the Artist by Finn Benestad and Dag Schjelderup-Ebbe, and A History of Norwegian Music by Nils Grinde. He has also translated 130 song texts in the C. F. Peters edition of Grieg's Complete Works.
