Synopsis
Perusia is the story of five young boys in the ancient Rome of 44 BC, two years after the assassination of Julius Caesar. The chaos that results from the assassination impacts on the lives of the two families of these boys. Three of the boys live in the City of Perusia and after their parents are arrested begin a journey to Rome some 100 kilometers away. Their objective is to seek the help of their only relatives. The three brothers are unaware that their aunt and uncle in Rome have also been arrested. The two cousins from Rome embark on a journey to Perusia seeking safety with their aunt and uncle. Neither of the two groups of boys is aware of what has happened to their respective families. Both journeys expose the boys to dangers they would have never thought possible. From mythological creatures to a blind prophet and a Nubian Prince, there is excitement on every page. How will they free their parents and return to their once happy lives? Or will they?
