Synopsis
Use "power verbs" to make your resumes, cover letters, interview conversations, and personal pitches more memorable, impactful, and dynamic -- and get the job you want! If you're hunting for a job, every word matters. But some words matter most of all: verbs. Verbs are the catalysts of sentences. They bring communication to life -- whether it's written or spoken. Power verbs bring your sentences to life. (Conversely, dull and uninteresting verbs bore and alienate employers, even if they have no idea why they don't like you.) Now, in Power Verbs for Job Seekers, communications expert and business professor Dr. Michael Faulkner shows you exactly how to choose action-packed verbs that electrify your communications, and attract employers like moths to a flame. Packed with real examples, this concise, easy-to-use book teaches the fastest, most powerful way to separate yourself from other candidates -- and get hired. For all job seekers, at all levels, across all functions and industries. This book will be especially valuable to new graduates just entering the workforce; junior level employees; undergraduate students in business communication, presentation, and business skills courses; and anyone reentering the workforce.
