If you are at all like me, you’ll watch the many quilting shows on TV and be stunned by the beauty of some of the quilts. When the quiltmaker describes the reasons behind their color choices, it all makes sense! There is a reason behind the choices. It’s science! (Kinda.) Then an hour later I’ve forgotten the reason why it all works. This is where The Quilters Field Guide to Color steps in. It isn’t just a teaching book, it gives hands-on challenges. Every chapter is made up of lessons that you can test yourself on. There is a large color swatch library that you'll need in the challenges. Go ahead, remove it from the book and cut it into pieces. This is a wonderful training book for folks who find choosing quilting colors just a little (or a lot) out of their depth. Recommended By Tracey T., Powells.com
