Synopsis
Excerpt from Report of the Committee on the Academic Status of Psychology, 1914
Your committee is inclined to lay considerable stress on these Opinions. We believe that despite the prevailing practice, the rudi ments of psychology cannot be adequately covered in a course of 3 semester hours; that where possible a full-year course should be devoted to introductory psychology, and that where such an arrange ment is not feasible an advanced general course should follow the introduction.
