Synopses & Reviews
In the 1740's, a young George Washington carefully copied out 110 "Rules for Civility" that had been compiled by French Jesuits in the 15th century and were widely translated and read across Europe. Keeping them close throughout his military and political career, Washington made it his highest aim to embody these principles in his life and actions.
