One of my favorite parts of this series is how, through interactions with more popular Marvel heroes, Brian K. Vaughan crafts the story of how this ragtag group fits into the wider Marvel universe. Although, truthfully, since Runaways was written by Vaughan, it automatically made it to my must-read list. I found each character to have depth as well as a unique collection of powers (or non-powers). My other favorite part of the series is the natural and tenderly handled progression of LGBT characters coming into their identities. Recommended By Junix S., Powells.com
