Excerpt from Separation of Mixed Potassium Salts: A Thesis
The object of this thesis is to determine the best method of separating, by fractional crystallization, the potassium salts contained in a mixture resulting from a potassium permanganate process. The desired purity of the separated salts is about ninety-eight per cent; they should be white and the crystals uniform. The separation must be commercially successful.
