I was happy to revisit the guys of Sky King Ranch, and they along with the women in their lives were once again living on the edge. The danger this time centered on Colt and Tae, danger from the elements as well as from terrorists. Of course his brothers have their backs and join them in the thick of things. While I did enjoy this story, I did not enjoy it as much as I did the second book in this series. It lacked the realism of that book which was a distraction, and it was more predictable. That said, it still brought me enough reading pleasure that I feel comfortable recommending it to others. I am grateful to have received a complimentary copy of Sundown from Revell via NetGalley without obligation. All opinions expressed here are my own.

Oh, my! This book and this series had me captivated from beginning to end. I must admit that I missed the first book in the series, but I have since purchased it and plan to definitely go back and read Dodge’s story. This third book in the series wraps everything up well as it tells the story of Colt Kingston, a man who has yet to feel worthy or accepted in his life. He is still carrying the guilt of being with his mom when she died and blames himself for her death. Enter on the scene a young woman named Tae, a brilliant scientist working on a vaccine against a bio-weapon that is as deadly as it is useful to enemies. The danger that Tae is in is presented so realistically that I thought I was watching a movie in my mind. The action was fast paced and non-stop, changing settings from ice in Alaska to the sunshine state of Florida, with the bad guys always right there. Colt has tasked himself with keeping Tae safe and that is no small chore since he has to almost sacrifice himself to secure her and her vaccine. I enjoyed the way the story unraveled, with lots of layers and plenty of brilliantly written dialogue. The relationship between the brothers is a central theme since they need to find out each other’s strengths and weaknesses in order to work well together. This book can be read as a standalone, but my recommendation is to read the series of the Sky King Ranch and the heroes who call it home.

Wow, the conclusion of the Sky King Ranch is a doozy. Overflowing with adrenaline, unbelievable action, heart-pounding plot twists, incredible faith lessons, and tender romance, Colt and Tae's story will enchant you from the first page. From the frozen beauty of Alaska to warm humidity of Florida, you'll feel like you're right there with them as the characters work against the clock to find and neutralize a bioweapon. I loved Tae's logical, scientific mind that complimented Colt's impulsive, creative spirit. Their shared goal to make a difference in the world by saving lives bound them together despite their differences. Ranger and Noemi had voices in this story as well; their life together as a married couple facing so many challenges was a tear-jerker but also a heart-warmer. Seeing the Caleb Group again, along with references to some of the Montana Marshalls, was so much fun. Jones, Inc. group had a big presence in the story and I'm hoping to see more of the guys from the group in future Susan May Warren's books. The beauty of redemption and forgiveness is displayed in full color as the Kingston triplets finally all come home. You can't go wrong with a Susan May Warren novel. She consistently delivers mind-blowing romantic suspense filled with memorable and lovable characters. I can't wait for her next series! I received the book from the publisher via NetGalley and was under no obligation to post a positive comment. All opinions are my own.

'Colt wasn't the only brave one here. Wasn't the only one who was ready to do violence to keep people safe.' When I read a Susan May Warren book, it just consumes me. Totally. I will pick it up and dive in completely. I've been waiting on this one so eagerly because I just had to know what happens with Colt Kingston. These Kingston brothers, fraternal triplets, are as brave as they come, above and beyond. Loyal, fierce, protective and patriotic. Warren knows exactly how to ratchet up the action and grab her readers with her deeply impactful spiritual thread. She plumbs the absolute depth of her characters' emotions as well. When you readone of her books, you definitely are all in, simply because there's no other way to read her books. This one is another one to add to my keeper shelf. Well done! My thanks to Revell for a copy of this book. The opinion here is expressly my own.
