This book was advertised for young adults (9 to 90). It is a good read for any age. I read the original book when it was published in 2001. This is the revised edition, and greatly improved. The story hasn't changed, but the descriptions of the setting in 1803 has improved and little details that help picture that time in Ohio history. I loved the story the first time, and loved it even more the second time. I also read Book Two: Shawnees & Runaway Slaves which continues with some of the same characters in 1832. I can hardly wait for Book Three.
