Cinder courts can be cheaply made, but unbound Cinders blacken the balls. The Cinders should be laid on a foundation of clinkers or broken stones (about 2 in. Or 3 over this about 3 in. Or 4 in. Of cinders, the large Cinders being at the bottom, and finely riddled Cinders at the top. After laying, the court should be well rolled.
