John Work was arguably the most proficient explorer of the Hudson's Bay Company in the Pacific Northwest. His journals are among the most important records of the fur trade in the Northwest. This publication, originally issued in 1923, was, and remains, the only publication of John Work's journal for August 18, 1831-July 27, 1832.
