Synopsis
Eduardo De Fillippo (1900-1984) is generally regarded as the most representative figure of Southern Italian culture. Playwright, poet, actor, director and producer of both film and theatre, he was the author of sixty-three plays, and together with Pirandello, helped define the stature and range of twentieth-century Italian drama. His signature piece The Nativity Scene is here presented for the first time in English translation.
