Synopsis
Excerpt from The Norfolk Antiquarian Miscellany, Vol. 2
What could be more natural, therefore, than for the wealthy citizens, who were precluded from building new churches by the fact that there was literally no room for them, than to expend some of their money in decorating and ornamenting the chief church of their town? Unluckily, none of the pre-reformation accounts of the parish are now in existence, l but those still preserved are very full and very interesting.
