Synopsis
Excerpt from The Old Settlers' Festival: Held in Buffalo, January 23d, 24th, 25th, and 26th, 1867
My garments, travel-worn and stained with dust, Oft rent by briars and thorns that crowd my way, Would fain be made, 0 Lord, my righteousness, Spotless and white in Heaven's unclouded ray.
Patience, poor soul, the Savior's feet were worn, The Savior's heart and hands were weary too. His garments travel stained and worn and old, His vision blinded with a pitying dew.
