Excerpt from The Proceedings of the First All-India Sanitary Conference: Held at Bombay on 13th and 14th November 1911
The President referred to the schemes of urban sanitation (appendix 1) which had been submitted by local Governments in reply to a letter from the Government of India and stated that what the Government of India required was some definite information On which to allot grants for urgent schemes which were pending for want Of funds, in the event of money being available as was the case last year. He asked' the various provincial dele gates to make any remarks in explanation of the information which had already been furnished by local Governments.
