Staff Pick
This surprisingly complex comic series may look like it's just about robots blowing each other up, but it has so much more to offer. Gender issues, forgiveness, redemption, the nature of love and friendship, and how those relationships can evolve are all fair game in More Than Meets the Eye. The series remains light enough to be fun, but not so slight as to diminish the impact of the stories that James Roberts is trying to tell.
After tragically losing a crew member on Ofsted XVII, the rest of the Lost Light’s team must deal with the fallout of Brainstorm’s seeming betrayal, and follow him back in time to the very beginning of The War. Whether they’re going back to stop him or help him isn’t entirely clear. Recommended By Matt S., Powells.com
