This is a great historical novel about the days surrounding the Battle of 2nd Manassas. I live in the area now and I can tell you the location descriptions are excellent. It is easy to follow the battle and what happened in this bloody conflict of the Civil War. The main characters are historical but the feel of the battle and times is graphic as told through the fictious characters (based on historical incidents). You won't be able to lay the book down once you get into it.
