@Miss Gretchen: I am humbled to admit I haven't watched a single episode this season, so I don't get the "Harold" reference. I gave up after the season 5 finale, where I realized that from now on every single plot line would be an engine calculated to provoke a "shocked" reaction and the characters had just become little chess pieces. @SideshowVal: Now I may have to cut the front page off in mid-sentence, just as I get to the juicy part, 'cause I want you to the read the whole thing!

It's more a time thing. I know it only takes 10 seconds to click and wait for the page to appear, and when I think it through like that, I should just click. But I'm usually reading the Powell's blog during lunch, when I'm busy and I have a bunch of other sites I want to get to. I've just found that while I used to read Book News religiously, now, more often than not, I just read whatever appears on the front page and don't click through anymore.

It's more that it looks like her soul was sucked out of her by Satan. He got her dog and Daddy Warbucks too.

re: the Lost book list -- we J. Wood group peeps should do our own. . .however, based on the past season, it looks like the only book on the list would be "Harold and the Purple Crayon."

@manwith7talents: Is it that you can't tell where she's looking, or that it looks like her eyes drowned in milk? @SideshowVal: Mainly for space reasons; the Book News posts can get really long and push other pieces right off the blog homepage. But I'm always curious why clicking through the link is a problem. Do you get charged by the mouse click? @izzypdx: I had no idea! Thanks for the info.
