Daemon's Mark is a fast-paced, kick-ass book. Caitlin Kittredge continues the Nocturne City series by putting Luna Wilder smack in the middle of a human trafficking plot involving supernaturals (witches, weres, etc.) and the Russian mob. As usual, Kittredge uses the story line to force Luna to confront her dark side and, in addition, Daemon's Mark brings her closure with her ex, Dmitri. The action is non-stop, twists abound, and Luna is as tough as it gets. Kittredge retains her vulnerability, and Luna's ongoing relationship with Will, an immortal, sweetens the mix.
