What can I say about DMZ? It is one of my favorite graphic-novel series ever. The art is unique and high quality, and the plot doesn't have any parallel in the realm of graphic novels. The story is pertinent and well written, and simultaneously reflects city life as well as what it would be like to live in a war-torn America. The characters are as unique as flesh-and-blood people, and the choices they face are as real as can be. Wood and Burchielli don't shy away from anything; gritty would be an understatement. Please, read this series.
