No one at the zoo appreciates Slow Loris. He's boring, sleepy, and slow: it takes him an hour just to scratch his bottom! What no one realizes, though, is that Slow Loris couldn't care less about what they think; he has his own special secret. When the other animals discover his nighttime activities, they gain a new appreciation for Slow Loris. Alexis Deacon's characteristic illustrations are darkly luminous, and the message — be true to yourself — is one any parent can appreciate. I adore this book, so much so that I have a Slow Loris tattoo on my arm.
