About the Author
Danielle Walker, born February 1985, is the author and photographer of the world renowned Paleo food blog AgainstAllGrain.com and now her first-ever cookbook by the same name. After being diagnosed with an autoimmune disease when she was 22 years old, and coming to the realization that she needed to remove grains, lactose, and legumes from her diet, she started her blog to help others suffering from similar ailments continue to enjoy food. She leveraged her acquired culinary skills and love for food with her equal love for journalism to end her own suffering and become a source of hope for others, suffering from all types of diseases or allergies.
Converting what should be taboo and decadent delights, Danielle creates dishes that are appropriate for people who suffer from gastrointestinal or autoimmune diseases. Her goal is to never feel deprived in what she eats, rather to feel satisfied and exhilarated with each bite. Danielle and her husband Ryan live in the San Francisco bay area with their energetic toddler Asher and spunky dog Ahavah.
