The Artemis Fowl series is witty, high energy, and highly entertaining. They're easy to read (they are for a younger crowd) but very fun. The characters are lovable and regularly funny and the adventures are always full of action and surprises. The character development over the course of the series makes the books even harder to put down as you find yourself hoping for their safety and benefit in each situation. The first book in this series starts off the action right away and begins the characters growing on you like a super moss that just ate a vat of Miracle Grow. Highly recommended and it only gets better from here.

This book is great! It’s about a 12 yr old boy named Artemis Fowl. He wants to steal gold from the fairies to restore his family’s fortune. So he tricks a sprite into letting him copy her secret book and then comes up with a plan to kidnap a fairy. And that started Artemis and his butlers (Juliette and Butler) on their adventures. I like this book because a 12 yr old boy outsmarts the whole fairy race! And I like how it’s a very realistic fairy tale. by: Adrik

Artemis Fowl is about a twelve year old boy who tries to steal fairy gold from fairies. I thought this fantasy book had a good plot and some great characters. Sometimes I was confused about what was happening in the begining, because I thought the organization wasn't to good.I suggest if you're a fantasy lover and one who likes to read, you should read Artemis Fowl. It's a book where you never know what's coming next!

This book was an amazing start to an amazing series. It was filled with action and suspense from the first page to the very end. I reccomend this book to every reader who wants a book that is going to glue them to its pages, and I think Eoin Colfer is an amazing author because of the way he can draw the readers into the book. I think he is also amazing because of the way he describes all of the charaters, so the reader can picture them, and sometimes become attached to them. I wanted to hurry and read this book, so that I could then hurry and get on with the rest of the books in the series! READ THIS MARVELOUS BOOK!!!

I WAS SUPRISED BY THIS BOOK,I STARTED READING IT THINKING THAT IT WOULD BE JUST ANOTHER KIDS BOOK ABOUT MAGIC AND ELFS AND SUCH, BUT IT TURNED OUT TO BE REALLY DIFERENT,I REALLY LIKED ARTEMIS'S CHARACHTER,AND BUTLER OF COURSE. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO ANYONE WANTING A GOOD READ.KID'S AND ADULT'S.

The first time I read this book, I hated it. It struck me as something written by an English-major who wanted to show off all the big words he'd learned in college. I picked it up again and was able to finish it, amused by parts, bored to death by others. I recommend FABLEHAVEN instead.
