My eighth visit to Hope Harbor was a wonderful success as I loved this book, absolutely loved it! The story of Christi Reece, a young woman who once had everything, and her former boyfriend, Jack Colby is one for the record books. It is such a sweet story of loss and redemption, forgiveness and hope. Christi arrives in Hope Harbor to find Jack and ask him for a big favor. Of course, Jack is not open to granting her wish but he is at least willing to listen and think about it. The town of Hope Harbor welcomes Christi with open arms and heals some of the pain from her past. The residents offer her a job, a place to live and friendship along with responsibilities that use her talents. I enjoyed the plot that was paced just right for the story to move along, but I especially enjoyed the characters and how real they were, complete with flaws and needs. My favorite character was Charley, the taco truck vendor, who dispenses wisdom that is Biblically sound and unobtrusive. The author has created a magical town that all should want to visit! I received a copy of the book from Revell. All opinions expressed are my own.
