Totally fun and engaging read creatively steeped in science fiction, games and rich with 80's nostalgia and sub-references (complete with footnotes!). A gem of a book, perfect for the nerd in all of us.

This is an amazing, magnum opus of a book with flawless direction and detail, and is a must for anyone who cooks, is learning to cook or has never picked up a knife before and wants to learn the right way from the beginning. This is destined to be the definitive guide to cooking for many years to come. A masterpiece!

Happy Holidays from the Diva of Do Ahead A Year of Feasts to Celebrate with Family & Friends

This little unassuming book is my secret weapon for stress-free holidays. The recipes are spot-on, perfectly delicious and allow me to prepare beautiful meals at my pace, so that everything is ready to go when I need it. The mashed potatoes alone are worth the price of the book! Diane Phillips also writes with humor and wit, and I can feel the anxiety of making Thanksgiving dinner slip away as I read her book. A lifesaver!!
