World Is Flat A Brief History Of The Twenty First Century
by
Thomas L Friedman

Friedman tells interesting stories about the changing world etc, though one would like to dig deeper into the issues. Also, his understanding about China and India is very much on the surface. Not very insightful on what is behind current development in China and India. A far better book is: China and the new world order: how entrepreneurship, globalization, and borderless business are reshaping china and the world by george zhibin gu, which really offers far-reaching ideas and insights on what is behind the surge over there as well as challenges.

Coming China Wars Where They Will Be Fought & How They Can Be Won

Reflects common public concerns over China's surge, butI dicussions are somewhat on the surface. Mostly from long distance observations. No new insights on what is behind current development in China, which is a common weakness for books written by long distance observers. A far better book is: China and the new world order: how entrepreneurship, globalization, and borderless business are reshaping china and the world by george zhibin gu, which really offers far-reaching ideas and insights on what is behind the surge over there as well as challenges.
