Case of the Deadly Butter Chicken A Vish Puri Mystery
by
Tarquin Hall
lahamre13
, August 06, 2012
Tarquin Hall's wonderfully vivid characters spring to life amongst all the sights and sounds of the streets of Dehli. Private detective Vish Puri discovers his latest case is connected to his own mummy-ji's secret past. Interwoven into the story is the dark history of the 1947 partition of India and Pakistan. Although the subject matter is serious, and at turns heartbreaking, the overall tone is humorous and uplifting.

Confessions of a Prairie Bitch
by
Alison Arngrim

I could hardly put it down. Arngrim has an entertaining style of writing. She tells great behind the scenes stories with lots of tongue-in-cheek and snarky attitude. She also shares the tragedies in her life, and how she uses them as motivation to help others. My only complaint was the occasional strong language, but overall the book had me laughing out loud!
