Five Book Friday: In Memoriam
(0 comment)
Every year, the booksellers at Powell’s submit their Top Fives: their five favorite books that were released in 2023. It’s a list that, when put together, shows just how varied and interesting the book tastes of Powell’s booksellers are. I highly recommend digging into the recommendations — we would never lead you astray — but today...

I didn't really like this book much. I mean, it was alright. I understand autism, but all the math problems gave me a headache.

There's not really much to say about it, except that it's a cute story. I might have liked it better if I read it when I was 13. It's a good book that I would recommend to girl's in middle school, maybe just entering high school.

This is my favorite book of all time. Before reading this book I hated reading, but this book changed me, it made me fall in love with it.

I had to read this book for my History final in 11th grade. I absolutely hated it, but I skipped from page to page and didn't really give it a chance. I recently was cleaning out my closet and I found my copy of it and decided I would re-read it. I think it's absolutely BRILLIANT. That's about all I can say about it. Everyone should read it before they die.

I liked this book, but what makes me hate it is that everyone and their mother thinks it's the greatest book ever. To say it's the greatest book you've ever read just means you haven't read very many books. It's nothing extremely special. It's very well written and was put together nicely. It's one of those books that you can't put down until you've finished it. I think it's a book every teenager should read.
