Dead Ever After A Sookie Stackhouse Novel

I was really looking forward to the last Sookie book- unfortunately I found it very disappointing. The amazing tension that Sookie, Eric and Pam always had was completely gone, Sookie and Eric's unfinished story was neatly, quickly and superficially tied up. All of the small conflicts within the entire series were tidily closed with little of the hilarity and passion that were present in the previous books. Many of the characteristics which drew me to the series in the first place were missing- the Southern-flavor, Sookie's sassiness, the strength of the characters' conflicts and resolutions, the great love scenes-the supernatural/normal world balance. Too bad, I really wanted to love it.

for one who can't szand vampire stories, I found DOW to be super intriguing and exciting. fast paced with lots of interesting scientific (DNA, Evolution, etc) ideas applied to magical worlds. fantastic character building and modern day mythological mixes.
