Aleister Crowley The Biography Spiritual Revolutionary Romantic Explorer Occult Master & Spy
by
Tobias Churton
Joseph Thiebes
, January 01, 2012
A wonderful biography about a man whose story has previously been obscured by tabloid sensationalism and outright lies in the mainstream press and many of the prior biographies. Aleister Crowley was not an evil man, nor was he wicked (unless by wicked you mean awesome!), but rather was a man concerned with assisting all of humankind to take the next step in our evolution, the founder of a revolutionary new religious philosophy, and a spy working for the Allies in World War II. This book is a fun read, and an engaging treatment of it's subject. Not as detailed or complete as the second edition of Perdurabo by Richard Kaczynski, but a more lively and entertaining read. If you want to dig deep, get both!

This book is terrible. If you want to understand Aleister Crowley, read Aleister Crowley.

The latest episode (#8) of Speech in the Silence podcast ( http://speechinthesilence.com ) features Richard Kaczynski reading two selections from the newly expanded edition of his book, "Perdurabo." Great stuff!
