Handling Sin
by
Michael Malone
Darlynne
, September 25, 2010
Comparisons to "A Confederacy of Dunces" are as inevitable as they are inaccurate. Mr. Malone has created a cast of immensely likable and crazy--in the best sense of the word--characters, all of whom his hero, Raleigh Hayes, encounters or must drag along on his quest to save his wayward father. This is the story of Raleigh's odyssey from self-righteous, upstanding citizen to, well, that would be telling. The funniest and most satisfying book from the best writer you're not reading. Seriously. You'll thank me.

Eyre Affair Thursday Next 01
by

Who knew how groundbreaking this first in the Thursday Next series would be? Characters kidnapped from great literature and held ransom, Wales is a socialist state and the Crimean War has been waged for over 100 years. Smart, funny and literate.
