Wet Engine Exploring the Mad Wild Miracle of the Heart

Wow. This book has heart, it has guts, it has brains. Doyle's writing captured me in MINK RIVER, and I wanted more of his style. He is a poet and a word painter. The book is a love letter to his child, and a glimpse into the worlds of medicine, faith, and parenthood all entwined. It is a slim volume. I am tempted to take it with me everywhere.

Part mystery, part erudite reading list -- this terrific book made me smell the croissants and hear the street music of Paris.
