Loved this book! Reading it, I realized that I'm not the only person with far more books to read than time to read them. It also led me to discover some great reading I would never have otherwise picked up.

This may be the best book I've ever read, and I've been hiding my face between the covers for forty years... The thing that amazes me most about this novel is that it seems to me completely modern, as if it could have been written last year, rather than so long ago. The problems, sorrows and joys that Tolstoy captures are as much with us now as they were in his time. I think Tolstoy must have been a heck of a guy.

Terrific book. Reading "Coming up for Air" gave me unexpected insights into my Grandfather's world in pre-WWII London. After I finished this one I ordered several more Orwell titles!
