Every year, the booksellers at Powell’s submit their Top Fives: their five favorite books that were released in 2023. It’s a list that, when put together, shows just how varied and interesting the book tastes of Powell’s booksellers are. I highly recommend digging into the recommendations — we would never lead you astray — but today...

Pleiadian Agenda A New Cosmology for the Age of Light
by
Barbara Hand Clow
Nash
, April 04, 2008
I read "The Mayan Factor" and I went to Powell's Books on Hawthorne and I found "The Pleiadian Agenda" close to where I found Dr. Jose Arguelles' books. After reading a chapter about the Roman Church and reptiles like the Lizard King, I was thoroughly fascinated with the whole book. Barbara Hand Clow channels a pleiadian by the name of Satya. Satya directs the information about the "other" planets in our solar system, like Chiron and Niburu. Mayan calendars, new-age thinking, and even cosmological reasoning behind the "1st Iraq War" are written about and explored! I highly recommend this book!

Eye of the Centaur A Visionary Guide Into Past Lives
by

"Eye of the Centaur" is a book about past-life therapy through phenomenology. This book has incredible chapters about Druid priests, Delphic oracle rituals, illuminated scarabs, and the priest of Osiris. "The Pleiadian Agenda" was the first of Barbara Hand Clow books that I read and I love it! "Eye of the Centaur" is just as good! I can't wait the read the other two books in The Mind-Chronicles Trilogy!

Mayan Calendar & the Transformation of Consciousness
by
Carl Johan Calleman
Nash
, March 29, 2008
Oohhh no!! 2012!! Except " The Mayan Calendar and the Transformation of Consciousness" says that the "BIG ONE" is actually October 28, 2011. Wow!! That's even sooner than expected. Author Carl Johan Calleman provides a very thorough examination of the Mayan calendar on a worldwide spread. From the World Tree holding it's roots in Europe and Africa, to the Earth's hemispheres being compared to the brain's hemispheres. My mind has opened even wider and this book by itself has given me tools for the present world. Excellent reading material!
