If you are a fan of L.O.R. or H.P. you will enjoy the adventures of young Jed as he becomes a legendary wizard. Ursla has a unique take on how to become a wizard and how a wizard's power is derived. Middle school readers and upwards will enjoy this series.

Dark Empire I Star Wars
by
Tom Veitch

If you're a Star Wars fan who wishes to see episodes 7,8, and 9, then look no further than the Dark Empire trillogy by Tom Veitch. The first two installments are very entertaining, but the last one, which is much shorter, gets a little hoakey-- I guess Tom just didn't know how to end it. The deal is, the Emperor survived the Death Star explosion by channeling his energy into a clone. However, the clone is aging too quickly and is seeking a new host: a strong one! You get to see Luke as a jedi master and the training academy he's established; it's a fun read for Star Wars fans and a glimpse of what might have happened had G. Lucas continued his series.
