A Discovery of Witches: All Souls 1

This tale of discovery is filled with action, with romance, and with that hidden world of the paranormal. It has a typical plot of researcher discovering an unknown document. This has the added twist of the researcher being the only one who can open this long 'lost' book that will bring about a change in the world of the others. Check it out and disappear into the book.

Outlander

This time-travel romance is captivating, engaging and amazing. Between the characters, the plot, and the narrative, this tale is timeless. Gabaldon takes history and romance and wraps it into an adventure story where the reader "knows" the history, yet the characters must find their way. I listened to the abridged version, then turned around and devoured the book, and went on to read all the rest of Gabaldon's work. Once you are hooked, it's impossible to stop reading.
