If you like novels/mysteries, where everything seems disconnected and then suddenly all the threads are woven together into a very satisfying finish, this is the book for you. Interesting characters, intricate plot with excellent writing.

Enthralling book. Her creation of a world and full life within the confines of 4 walls was so well done. Equally so was the harsh reality of the world we know and the unfeeling way we sometimes interact with each other.

The Devil's Star: Harry Hole 5
by
Jo Nesbo

The Harry Hole mysteries by Jo Nesbro are terrific, and Devil Star, the 3rd in the series is the best, I think because Harry's nemesis finally meets his long overdue and richly deserved violent end. If you are new to this series, please do start with the first book, Redbreast. Each stands on its own, but read chronologically you'll have a more enjoyable reading experience.

Loved this book and eager to learn what happens to the characters next. Feel like I learned a lot of Indian and Chinese 19th century history while getting wrapped up in the lives of very diverse and sympathetic people. Anybody have an idea when the second book of the trilogy will be published?
