It’s a list that, when put together, shows just how varied and interesting the book tastes of Powell’s booksellers are. I can't even think of everything I want to say about how superb this book was to read. I know it's staying on the Nook so I can read it again. I am so very glad my sister turned me onto this excellent look at a dystopian future and glad I could turn my friend onto it too. And she loved it. {BTW, my sister also turned me onto my favorite read of 2011, THE PASSAGE - Justin Cronin} There's hope, there's grief, joy, discovery, intestinal fortitude and I cannot wait to see the movie.

I loved catching up with Harry Dresden and the urban fantasy Chicago he lives and fights the good fight. These are all the short stories and novellas Jim Butcher has written between the books. All are fantastic.

This was by and far the most memorable and best book I read in 2010. It was more than a vampire novel. It was an epic adventure about the people who were trying to survive as humans instead of being taken by the virus and really just trying to stay alive and see if anyone else is out there. It is one of those rare books that I choose to keep and have in audio format as well as print so I can (and will) read again.
