This is an excellent book which bravely faces the colonization of Kenya. It explores the intricate relationship of conquerer and conquered, oppressor and oppressed, Christ and Chaiaphas. Ngugi shows how one side is not completely one or the other.

New Moon: Twilight 2

The author overuses certain words. Over and over and over- SO play the twilight drinking game!!! Get four people and have each person read two pages. Every time they read green, muscular, velvet, smug... (make up your own, you will see a trend) the reader tales one drink. make another list of lesser used words (maybe teeth, smoldering or dazzled) and take two drinks for those. make an ultimate word that you have to take a few drinks for. It's fun!!!
