Zulu

A mystery with roots in apartheid and African tribal rivalries. A determined and honest detective with a troubled relationship with his (ex) wife and a young woman he rescued from the streets. Corrupt officials including a mystery man whose past includes enforcing apartheid laws and corruption on a vast scale. A biological weapon of terrifying power to destroy lives being tested in the slums of South Africa. Zulu has all of this in a gripping story that also illuminates the troubles of Africa and South Africa as peace proves elusive. Highly recommended.

, October 23, 2009
Homeowners getting ready to enter the twilight zone of managing a home remodeling project should read this book. Susan Solakian explains the difficulties, and responsibilities a homeowner faces when undertaking a major home remodeling using professional contractors and designers. Susan Solakian writes,(this book)"is not for do-it-yourselfers. Amateur design and construction can actually lower the value of your home." An invaluable resource that will save renovators far more money than the $ 19.95 cover price. Buy it, read it, take notes, and do all of this before you begin any major home project.
