This book was a page turner from the very beginning. It was hard to believe that it is all true. The book is about Louis Zamperini who was a runner in the Olympics in the 1930's and later on was in a plane during World War 2 that was shot down in the Pacific. After many days in the water, he and the other men from his plane were captured by the Japanese. Zamperini spent a long time in a Japanese prisoner of war camp. His time there was horrible, he was lucky to survive. Recently I met a woman who had heard Louis Zamperini give a talk about his life. He is living in Southern California and in his 90's his memory is fully intact. His story will stick with me for years to come.

This is a very special book written from a dog's perspective. I laughed, cried and learned. A must read.
