Another fascinating work from Bryson. Somehow, he surveys vast quantities of information, finds the compelling, absurd, humorous, ironic bits and weaves them into coherent, mindgrabbing vignettes and stories. Brilliant!

Another outstanding volume from Bryson. How does he manage to survey so many sources and cull the interesting, comical, ironic, and absurd?!!
