Heat

Heat is a good book to read. The reason why is because this book has so many realistic things in it. For example Michael and his brother live in New York by them self. Also they have traveled from Cuba to America. This is true for many people. One theme in this story is that if you work hard enough at something, you will be able to achieve what you worked for. I would recomend this story to 6 and 7th graders.

The Hunger Games: Hunger Games 1
by
Suzanne Collins

The Hunger Games was an amazing book. The book is full of action, adventure, and some romance/drama. Also this book is full of themes and plots. For example when Katniss took her sister's place in the tournament. That theme was doing something good you will receive something good. Another theme was that the media controls a lot of things. For example the capital made everyone watch the hunger games. I would suggest this book to teenagers because the book is a challenging enough read and is interesting enough also. Those are just two themes in the book. This book would be great read for a long weekend or on a long trip.

Chronicles of Prydain 01 Book Of Three
by
Lloyd Alexander

The Book of Three was a good book at some times. The reason why I say this is because some parts of the book were a little dull. For example the character "Gurgi" always says he wants "munchings and crunchings." Also most of the time they are on the run trying to get somewhere for almost half of the book. Beside that the book is okay. There are many elements of medieval times. For example when Gwydion got locked up in a dungeon. Also their are castles and knights. I would recommend this book to 6th and 7th graders because it is a challenging enough read for average 6 and 7th graders. Also the book catches interest of the age group of 6th and 7th graders.
