This new adult contemporaary novel by Jamie Mcguire features two dysfunctional characters who are inexorably drawn towards each other despite their foibles and flaws. The book is a fast paced romance that proves two broken halves can come together to create a harmonious new whole.

Night Circus
by
Erin Morgenstern
AnnaLiisa
, January 05, 2012
Author Morgenstern clearly has a love of and a knack for applying hyper-descriptive adjectives to construct an evocative, multi-layered, and textured fantasy world. I'm not a fan of fantasy fiction per se, but I enjoy authors who can craft elaborate and fantastical realms that draw you in and keep you riveted, and Ms. Morgenstern certainly succeeds at that. Her novel The Night Circus profiles two individuals with special paranormal capabilities who are matched against each other in a multiple-year long contest for supremacy, subtly battling each other within the context of a mysterious nocturnal circus.
