Son Of The Mob
by
Gordon Korman
Skeleton Key
, March 22, 2012
You don't see a lot of mob love stories out there. But this one takes the cake. Vince Luca is a common high school boy, but with a catch. His father is the head of a very successful mob. He's wanted by many people, some legal some not. Vince always noticed he was treated different because of his dad, but a girl doesn't. Kendra is a reporter for the school newspaper, a person Vince would never set his sights on. But when they end up stuck together at a party and a few other occasions they start to become close. But like all relationships, it wouldn't be the same without a few secrets and family problems.

When I was little this book was amazing. A time traveling dragon or wyvern in this case and wizard. We know the fun of time travel. But in this time each pet or creature has a card and boy does Gideon need it. Wycca has left to find a place for her egg, when she finds herself in Massachusetts. The only way he can control Wycca and protect her from his rival is by finding that card. The only problem is that the card is missing, and stuck to the bottom of Theodora's shoe. Now Gideon must travel to 2002 and rescue his pet and make a few friends along the way, plus experience a new way of life.

We all know werewolf legends, but what happens when one of the most popular girls in school falls for the 'wrong side of town' of guy? Celeste has a typical high school relationship with the most popular guy in school. But that's all thrown askew when Brandon moves into the picture. Would Celeste give up the dream boyfriend for an outsider? Se believes it'll pass, but when Brandon and Celeste learn he's a werewolf everything's changed. She feels drawn to him, more than she was to Nash. But her friends despise the teen. Will Celeste let her heart guide her or her social status?

Fins 01 Forgive My Fins
by

This is the first mermaid book I have ever read. The whole time I was squealing like a fan girl because the story is adorable. We all want that special one, even if they don't see it at first. That's what Lily fins out when she's stuck with Quin for a while. She would give up everything for love, but what about her home? Lily learns that appearances aren't everything.

This book is one of my absolute favorites. I've read it at least five or six times. Miri who just wanted to belong somewhere finally could. She with all the other eligible girls from her village competing for one prize. The prince. Miri is put to the test at the Princess Academy. She learns all the rules that aren't of the mountain. She becomes a leader and a dreamer. She proves she has what it takes, but prefers life on the mountain, her home. The book teaches you that no matter who you are, you can be a princess.

Kissed by an Angel Collection 01 Kissed by an Angel The Power of Love Soulmates
by
Elizabeth Chandler
Skeleton Key
, March 18, 2012
When I read this book, I nearly cried. It's about true, undying love. It starts out as a typical high school romance but turns into something more. True love never dies. Not only does Ivy need Tristan to help her, he's basically her guardian angel. Their love defies all that happened. This is what true love should be about. Loving each other, now and forever.

Impulse 02 Perfect
by
Ellen Hopkins
Skeleton Key

Perfect is about the daily struggle of most teenagers in high school. Four teens, all soon to go to college, strive to be perfect. But what they don't realize is that being Perfect comes with a price. It helped me realize perfect isn't what everyone wants you to be. It's what you are.
