This book reads like a mash of Philip k dick and haruki murakami. It is compelling and an absolute must read for fans of Twin Peaks and David Lynch.

This book is absolutely a must read for any fans of classic science fiction and horror. It is eloquently written and a real page turner. In its evocation of atmosphere and its execution it reminded me a lot of Roadside Picnic by the Strugatsky brothers. It unfolds in a brilliant fashion and I am eagerly awaiting the sequels.

Dog Stars

This book has one of the most moving scenes involving a man and his dog yet put to paper. Besides that, it is a genuine and emotional account of one man's life after he has lost everything he loved and knew, and his attempt to forge on with life in spite of such loss. Absolutely beautiful and heart rending.

One of the most entertaining dystopian visions which also just happens to be a scathing attack on the soviet union (which I suppose all great sci-fi is political or social discussion), this also happens to be by the great niece of Mr Leo Tolstoy. Charming, funny, scary and filled with likable and bumbling characters, this book is one of the least renowned but best dystopian fantasies.
