It has been a few months since I read this novel. I still find myself wondering about the women in this novel. How are they fairing? Is Erin's son flourshing with all the generations of women before him, and is Anna still around ? The author was very effective in making me care about the family in her book.

The characters in this novel come to life and stay with you long after you retire the book. The stories of the 5 generations of Keller women, sharing Hill House is poignant and humorous. As in real life , each woman has things from her past which they would like to keep secret, stories left better untold at least each Keller generations thinks. However, as their lives are revealed their bonds are strengthened and everyone one has a story which forgiveness can overcome. If you like Oprah's book club, you will love this novel.
