I read something favorable about Mr. Robbins a while back so I put his books on my TBR shelf and intended to get a book from the library. Needless to say, I forgot to check out any of his books. I was catching up with some podcasts and one of my favorites, The Drunken Taoist, had a special section about Tom Robbins, who is a very interesting fellow. I like to learn about the authors of books that I read so I'm intrigued to find out more about the elusive Mr. Robbins. I'll be looking through the comments to find out which book might be a good place to start.

The excerpt looks promising. The author utilizes a generous sprinkling of swear words, if that matters to you. I didn't find it off-putting since it's consistent with the writing style of urban London street slang vernacular.
